May 14, 2014 poetry challenge

I have often heard it said
there are no two snowflakes –
alike –

and fingerprints are a sign
that one’s hidden deeds will be –
reconstructed –

and it’s impossible to stand
in the same running river –
twice –

but who knew that teardrops –
of sadness, or joy, or grief –
vary, one from the other?
