Mountain verse deux, December 3, 2014

I dreamed about my father last night.
He was driving, under the influence,
as usual, searching for something,
some place he couldn’t find.

He used to go to the mountains,
him and his boys,
on Methodist Church retreats.
Always returned home with a twinkle
in his eye.
Maybe he found what he was searching for
in these mountains.
