Jupiter and Saturn appear to be
close together because the light
they reflect from the sun comes from
the same direction in the night sky.
But their proximity to each other
is merely an optical illusion
in our mind’s eye. There is no danger
of collision or collusion in the heavens.
Similarly, the COVID virus that haunts
and interrupts our lives is medically
an impossibility – a non-living thing
weaponized in a subtle act of war.
Its design is to shatter and fragment
our spirits and our faith in the future
of our dreams.
